Tyler Watts of Huntsville, Alabama, shot 65 Saturday to win the 72-hole Northeast Amateur by five strokes at Wannsmoisett Country Club in Rumford, Rhode Island.
Watts, a rising freshman at Tennessee, finished at 16-under-par 260.
Carson Bertagnole, a rising UNC sophomore from Pinehurst who shot 61 to take the first-round lead, tied for third at 266, six strokes after shooting 66 in the final round.
